Here is the first 3 parts of a 5 part video showing a fire out of Seaside California. This first due company had their hands full with a well involved fire and active rescues required. It looked like they had at least one adult and one child pulled out of this fire. This is a great set of videos to challenge yourself with priorities and how you would try to handle the same situation.

I have a feeling with the growing awareness of this tactic, we will find it more and more effective as the years go on. This should never be a tactic you decide to try for the first time on the fire ground. Train, study and know it perfectly before you use it. If you already use it, share it with others. A tried and true fire service tactic.

BURN-Detroit Fire Film in Colorado

BURN, is documentary on the Detroit Fire Department. It has been filmed over a year on the front lines in Detroit and shows the tremendous amount of fire duty that this city is experiencing. It also gives America an inside look at the struggles that many urban, blue collar city fire departments are facing. This is a very limited showing film and this could be the only time it plays in Colorado. Please support this film and the guys in Detroit that are taking on an amazing battle. My whole crew will be heading up to the April 8th showing, rally your guys and make it a crew night out.
Buy your tickets for the Denver April 8th, 9th, and 10th showings HERE

Sad news out of Texas tonight, a second firefighter has died from his injuries. Lt. Eric Wallace died during the fire operation last night. A RIC team was sent in to rescue their own, during this operation all three members of the RIC team were burned and injured. Lt. Greg Pickard died in the burn unit as a result of those injuries. Rest easy gentlemen.

Padlock Forcible Entry Video

Here is 15 minutes of padlock forcible entry done by the Irons, Saws, The PIG, Bolt cutters, etc. Dozens of locks later, we have a short forcible entry training video. This gives you an idea of what locks can easily be defeated by the Irons, which ones may need saw work, and when bolt cutters can actually beat both of them. We still show a majority of Irons work because you should be carrying them and they always start. However the saw does have great application when it comes to padlocks.
